After more then 10 years in business doing fresh flowers, I started becoming more and more aware of all the problems in the industry, with waste, sustainability, imports, and spiraling costs fueled by the pandemic. I had dabbled in providing some preserved items with my fresh florals since 2019 and when the COVID lockdowns happened I finally had TIME to bring my dream to reality.

I wanted to provide you with a viable alternative to fresh or artificial blooms, one that is more sustainable, has less waste, is 50% cheaper, and is still beautiful. Sounds impossible – but we have worked hard to achieve this goal.
Traditionally the only way to avoid seasonal availability issues, shortages, low-quality stock, or wilting blooms was to choose plastic/artificial blooms. Introducing our game-changing Hire Flowers for Weddings!

Delivery, Set Up & Pack down

Whether you choose one of our preset packages or mix and match à la carte from our Hire Range, getting your selection to and from your venue follows the same simple process and pricing structure.

To ensure a high standard of event styling using our blooms, as well as to safeguard the quality of our pieces, DIY transportation and handling is not currently an option.

Delivery

Our delivery fees are based on the distance of your venue from Flower Nation headquarters in Bull Creek, which you can work out by using this free online tool by CalcMaps:

  • within 15 km (e.g. Perth City, Fremantle) – $50
  • within 30 km (e.g. Swan Valley) – $80
  • within 50 km (e.g. Jarrahdale, Rockingham, Joondalup) – $150

Set Up

Once your blooms have been delivered, the on-site labour involved in setting them up and styling your event is charged on an hourly basis at $80 and $45 per Assistant.

As an average guide, 2.5 to 3 hours should be allowed, but a more accurate estimate can only be provided once we have discussed the details of your event.

This has been included into our packages.

Pack Down (next day)

After your event, we will return to the venue the next day to pack up and collect our pieces.

  • within 15 km (e.g. Perth City, Fremantle) – $120
  • within 30 km (e.g. Swan Valley) – $150
  • within 50 km (e.g. Jarrahdale, Rockingham, Joondalup) – $200

Frequently Asked Questions

How do make them affordable when preserved flowers typically cost more then fresh?
Its’ true-  preserved flowers have undergone a series of processes to make them “long-lasting” meaning they are typically more expensive then fresh blooms, but because our pre-designed HIRE arrangements don’t require the same amount of labour to create them, less time is spent on the florist’s part, ultimately saving you money. As we can repurpose them over multiple weddings, their product cost can be split between clients , saving each one $$.
Do you have a minimum hire?
Yes we do have a minimum Hire Amount of $250 in product hire (unless agreed upon by FN). This does not include the delivery, set up and pickup the next day.

Can I use them outdoors?
This answer is depending on factors such as:
The length of time the flowers are spending outdoors. For example, ceremonies and photoshoots may be permitted but open-air receptions are usually not.

The time of year and possibility of rain – see next section for (link) what if it rains.

You must have a undercover contingency in place to move indoors at forecast of rain.

Marquee weddings are allowed but items do need to be stored inside fixed buildings overnight as the dew/condensation does damage them.

What if it rains?
In the circumstance that it is forecast to rain on your event date you MUST move indoors.

The flowers and foliage are humidity sensitive and will damage when used in moist environments. You will be liable for replacement costs. There will be circumstances that might be considered an exemption, please contact us to discuss.

Do you deliver, set up and then come collect everything again?
Yes, we do all the above, to make your day as stress free as possible. On top of that you will get advise and suggestions on how to best decorate your event and venue from our highly experienced team.

What if I want to move them after the ceremony to use again at reception?
If an event is split in locations – such as a ceremony held at a different venue to the reception – our staff will either wait or return to your event to dismantle and reassemble the pieces at the second venue.

Please note, our pieces are not permitted to be moved by the individual hirer or related parties. Some venues, companies, people or planners may be given prior approval to move the hire range depending on circumstances and items.

What about table styling and ceremony structures?

What happens if anything gets damaged or broken?
Our REAL Flower for HIRE ranges are not as fragile as they look! They are made mainly with preserved material that is not brittle, however care must be taken for wearable items such as bouquets in order to not bruise or damage the materials. For example, throwing of the bridal bouquet is NOT allowed.

The contract that you will receive as part of your booking sets out replacement costs for each individual items.

Depending on the severity of the damage to the hire item the repair or replacement value will be invoiced.

What happens if my rental items go missing?
We advise our clients to instruct the event venues, coordinators or staff to stop guests walking out with flowers, but in the event that someone decides to help themselves to the centrepieces or other HIRE décor, you will be given a leniency of 24 hours to located the items and return them to Flower Nation. If inapplicable, you will be invoiced with the replacement cost as per contract.
Can I keep my flowers?
Keepsake blooms especially Bridal bouquets, have been increasingly popular and make a fabulous memento to enjoy for a long time after the day. They can be ordered & customised, but will require 4-6 weeks in general for sourcing and creation depending on stock. Many couples also opt to purchase smaller keepsakes for their family and bridal party.
What are Sola Flowers?

Sola wood comes from the tapioca plant root. It is grown organic and harvested by hand, Dried under sunlight. No chemicals or glues are used. . They are handmade with a knife, water, and a string. Safe for Cakes and Food.
